What Did the Blonde Say...?

So I was at work the other day, knocking out shipment with one of my coworkers, when payday came up. I expressed my gratitude for payday being the current friday. The girl looked puzzled. "Didn't we get paid the friday before last?"

I looked at her a moment and responded, "Yes..."

She still looked puzzled. The silence was only broken by the sound of the rusted gears moving in her head. "I thought we got paid every 2 weeks, not every other week."

I stared for a moment, astounded that she might actually be serious. I slowly responded, giving her time to perhaps somehow grasp what she just said. "That's the same thing."

She paused for a moment and stood with a thoughtful expression. Yet again, gears turned and noises were made until finally she responded, "Oh!"
