Sweet Tangerine

(cont...)

As the epic odyssey continues, our hero's find themselves worse off then when they started.

As I continued to look for jobs, I found the same frustration I had before in job searching. I don't know what it is that I do wrong, or if the economy really is just that melancholy, but I couldn't even get an interview lined up. Happily though, my side profession, that of a freelance graphic and website developer, received a couple of jobs. We'll see how those finish...

In continuance of our already despondent bearings: Somewhere in the well-to-do parts of Highland and all their snobbish self-acclaimed royalty, a beautiful receptionist gets fired so that her boss can give her relative the job (and on a side note, pay her relative under the table). An even more infuriating fact: this gorgeous receptionist got fired via an answering machine message. What a forlorn state the world has come to.

So there they were, out of jobs for the most part. Lucky for the couple, the wife was amazing, and was loved by all at her other part time job and started picking up extra shifts. All of this happening after the couple decided to move far away, have an exodus of sorts, a journey to the other side of the island. Not a small island mind you, they'll have to cross many states, carrying all their belongings in the back of their 2 vehicles.

Will they make it? Will they be able to get rid of their current residential contract without paying for another month? Will they be able to fit all their property into their 2 cars? How will the drive go? Find out next time!
